Optional cloud modules

Every module below is opt-in. Turn one on to enable that cloud service. Turn it off, you're back to fully on-prem.

Cloud Backup add-on

Off-site copies, at a flat monthly price.

Pick a capacity. Orion backs up your database and images to Backblaze B2 every hour, into a storage area scoped to your installation only. No metering, no egress surprises: one predictable line on your invoice.

Step 01

Checkout

Pick a capacity above. Your cloud storage area is provisioned for you. Nothing to sign up for at Backblaze.

Step 02

Turn it on

In the portal, open Tools → Backups, switch the destination to Cloud, and choose an hourly or daily schedule.

Step 03

It runs itself

Backups are additive: deleting a study locally never removes it from your off-site copies. The console shows the last run and what it contained.

Step 04

Restore a day

Every backup is a restore point. Pick a date from the last 7 days and restore that exact state from the console.

Cancel anytime. Your PACS and your local data keep working; only the off-site copies stop. Storage beyond your tier pauses new uploads rather than billing you a surprise.

How much data do you actually have?

Every capacity on this page depends on one number, and almost nobody knows it. Run our survey tool on the PC that holds your images and it tells you: how many studies, how many gigabytes will really move, how fast you are growing, and which plan that comes to.

The folder size is not the answer. LG CR workstations keep a raw file and two previews beside every exam. The last archive we measured showed 161 GB in Windows and held 80 GB of images.

What it does to your machine
  • Reads only. Your archive is not changed, moved or deleted.
  • Stays offline. No network connection. The report is a file on your desktop.
  • No patient data. Counts and sizes only.
  • Nothing installed. Unzip, run, delete.

It is a plain-text script. Your IT can read it first.
